How to Quickly Get Your New Content Indexed by Google
Hi all, some webmasters don’t want their sites to show in search engines while others do. It’s annoying when you create a post or webpage and it takes days before you can find it on Google search!! Well, the fact is, Google only sees your new content (post/web page) when Googlebot crawls the web.
But why wait till who knows when, if you can just tell them you’ve got new content and want it indexed? Today I’m gonna show easy steps you can take to make Google index your Wapka site/blog, forum posts, or web pages almost immediately after creating them.
Please note, they don’t add all submitted URLs, and there’s no guarantee when or if submitted URLs will appear in their index, but hey, there’s no harm in trying right?
1. Sign Into Your Google Account
-
First, make sure you’re signed into the Google account linked to your website.
-
This is important because only logged-in users can access Google Search Console tools.
2. Open Google Search Console
-
Google changed “Webmasters Tools” to Search Console, so look for that instead.
-
Once inside, find the option ‘Crawl URL’. This is the tool that lets Google know you have new content.
3. Enter Your Page URL
-
Type or paste the exact URL of your new post or webpage into the box.
-
That’s basically all you need to do at this step.
4. Alternative Quick Link
-
If the above seems complicated, you can just go directly to:
https://google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url -
This will take you to a simpler submission page where you can add your URL.
5. Confirm You’re Not a Robot
-
In the space tagged ‘URL’, input your new content URL.
-
Complete the reCaptcha verification to prove you’re not a robot.
-
Click ‘Submit Request’.
6. Wait and Check
-
Wait a few minutes. If you’re lucky, Google may index your content almost immediately.
-
To confirm, type your URL into the Google search box and press Search.
-
If it shows up, congrats! Your content is now live in Google search results.
✅ Tip: Google doesn’t always index all URLs immediately. But submitting them manually like this speeds up the process, especially for new websites or posts.
